Home
something I have searched for my whole life.
But every time, it is not quite right.
And so the search continues.
Maybe it is not a place.
For I know when I feel alive
I am a bird that cannot be tethered.
I need to be free,
unshackled from the vines
that bind me.
Dancing wild and free beneath the stars,
naked in the moonlight you will find me,
a crown of daisies upon my head
as I give myself back to nature.
Home is the sun
that warms my skin,
the moon
that carries my dreams,
the stars
that light my path.
I am my home.
I will be my home.
And no one can take that from me
as long as I breathe
